Cardiac Stepdown Nurse

Parkridge Health Network, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Stepdown Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this fast-paced unit, you'll provide specialized care to cardiac stepdown patients, including continuous telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and post-operative recovery support. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, deliver evidence-based treatments, and educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and discharge care. Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Continuously monitor telemetry, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate changes promptly
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and perform treatments per provider orders
• Develop, update, and document individualized care plans in the EMREducate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and discharge care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• Participate in rapid responses and support early recognition of patient deterioration
• Maintain high standards of safety, infection control, and quality care
• Precept and mentor newer staff as appropriate
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
