Job Description

Trusted Health seeks a Critical Care Float Pool nurse to provide expert care across ICU, step-down, and other high-acuity units. You'll rapidly assess and manage complex patients, administer meds, manage vents and drips, and respond to emergencies while adapting quickly to new teams and workflows. Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality critical care to patients across multiple hospital units as part of the float pool team
  • Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in ICU, step-down, and other high-acuity settings
  • Administer medications, manage ventilators and drips, and operate critical care monitoring equipment safely
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate complex care plans
  • Respond to emergencies, codes, and rapid response situations using established protocols
  • Adapt quickly to different unit workflows, documentation systems, and patient populations
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and communicate status changes clearly
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-care instructions
  • Participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives
