Mission Health in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Rapid Response team. In this critical role, you'll respond to patient deterioration on acute care units, perform swift clinical assessments, initiate life-saving interventions, and collaborate with physicians and bedside teams. You'll support code and sepsis alerts, provide clinical coaching to unit nurses, and ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols. Responsibilities
- Respond rapidly to clinical deterioration and rapid response activations on inpatient units.
- Conduct comprehensive, time-sensitive patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions within RN scope.
- Participate in and support code blue, sepsis alerts, and other emergency events.
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to stabilize patients.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and monitor response to treatment.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and trending data to guide clinical decision-making.
- Provide real-time coaching and support to bedside staff to enhance clinical skills and confidence.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
- Follow hospital policies, protocols, and evidence-based guidelines for rapid response care.
- Contribute to quality improvement, education, and safety initiatives related to rapid response and patient outcomes.
