Mission Health is seeking a Nurse Educator Generalist to support nursing excellence across our Western North Carolina system. This role designs, delivers, and evaluates education programs that strengthen clinical skills, support evidence-based practice, and ensure safe, patient-centered care. The Nurse Educator will plan orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development, using simulation and technology-enhanced learning. Partnering with nurse leaders and interdisciplinary teams, this position identifies learning needs, addresses performance gaps, and supports quality and patient-outcome initiatives in a collaborative, innovation-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and evaluate nursing education programs for clinical staff
- Assess learning needs and develop competency-based curricula and materials
- Provide orientation, skills training, and ongoing professional development for nurses
- Coach and mentor nurses to support evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to address performance gaps and improve outcomes
- Ensure education programs align with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Use simulation, technology, and best practices to enhance clinical learning
- Track and report education outcomes and competencies
- Support change initiatives, new clinical protocols, and quality improvement projects
- Participate in committees and workgroups focused on clinical excellence and staff development
