Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage oncology patient treatment plans across the continuum of care
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing symptom management
  • Support and oversee safe chemotherapy and biotherapy processes per protocol
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and self-care
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
  • Triage patient calls and concerns, prioritizing urgent needs and interventions
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and regulatory compliance
  • Facilitate care transitions, referrals, and follow-up appointments
  • Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within oncology services
  • Precept and mentor nursing staff to promote clinical excellence
