Mission Health seeks an Oncology Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support coordinated, patient-centered cancer care. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage oncology patient treatment plans across the continuum of care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing symptom management
- Support and oversee safe chemotherapy and biotherapy processes per protocol
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and self-care
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Triage patient calls and concerns, prioritizing urgent needs and interventions
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and regulatory compliance
- Facilitate care transitions, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within oncology services
- Precept and mentor nursing staff to promote clinical excellence
