Associate Veterinarian

Companion Pet Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats. You will perform exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries while educating clients and building strong relationships. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans for dogs and cats
  • Conduct routine and soft-tissue surgeries, including spays, neuters, and mass removals
  • Provide dental procedures including cleanings, radiographs, and extractions as needed
  • Interpret diagnostic tests including bloodwork, radiographs, and other imaging
  • Educate and counsel clients on preventive care, treatment options, and home care plans
  • Maintain thorough and accurate electronic medical records and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, compassionate care
  • Participate in case discussions, rounds, and continuing education to support continuous learning
  • Uphold hospital protocols for patient safety, anesthesia monitoring, and infection control
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on respectful communication and client service
