Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with patient goals and SSM Health standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home and in the community.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to students or new team members as appropriate.
