Speech Language Pathologist

SSM Health is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for diverse patient populations. You will develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, and provide education to patients and families. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with patient goals and SSM Health standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate holistic, patient-centered care.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home and in the community.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and support to students or new team members as appropriate.
