Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Adventist Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide compassionate, faith-based, whole-person care. In this role, you will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote independence in daily activities. You will educate patients and families, recommend adaptive equipment, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations using standardized assessments.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with whole-person care.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence.
  • Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and adaptive strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate care.
  • Document assessments, goals, and progress in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
  • Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Participate in case conferences, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
