Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for acute and inpatient rehab populations
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, mobility, and safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive techniques, and use of equipment
- Document assessments, goals, and progress accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and best-practice implementation
- Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and hospital standards of care and documentation
