Job Description
Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, and guide patients in improving function and independence across the continuum of care. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, document care in the EHR, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional independence and quality of life
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab staff, and families to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and use of adaptive equipment
- Document assessments, goals, and progress in the EHR in accordance with regulatory standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and performance improvement initiatives
- Supervise OT assistants and contribute to mentoring of students as appropriate
- Uphold Memorial Hermann's standards for safety, quality, and patient-centered care
