Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and patient care delivery on the assigned unit or service line
- Coordinate staffing, assignments, and patient flow to ensure safe, efficient care
- Provide bedside clinical guidance, escalation support, and role modeling for nursing and support staff
- Monitor adherence to evidence-based protocols, quality benchmarks, and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Mentor, coach, and support the professional development of team members
- Facilitate clear communication with patients and families, addressing concerns and education needs
- Assist with orientation of new staff and support ongoing training initiatives
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and process optimization projects
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
