Job Description

The Patient Relations Assistant is foundational to facilitating an engaging and positive patient experience. Duties to include collection and input of registration information, insurance and demographic data, perform cash collection (co-pays, deductible, deposit, reconciliation), provide customer service to patients. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, cash handling, medical record preparation, scheduling appointments, procuring new patient records, communicating information with patients via the telephone and in person, and answering telephone. This position supports efficient patient care and clinic initiatives for improving the patient experience

Four or more years of related experience doing registration in a medical office preferred.
The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously.

Schedule

Shift varies – Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Holiday.
