Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Job Description

WSi Healthcare Personnel seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for clients in healthcare and community settings. In this role you will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling to support recovery. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate referrals, and maintain thorough, compliant documentation. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to clients with substance use disorders
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment goals as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and community resources for coordinated care
  • Educate clients and families on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention
  • Facilitate referrals to higher levels of care or community support services
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards in all client interactions
