Responsibilities
- Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain advanced medical and technical equipment safely and accurately
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout care
- Document procedures, findings, and results accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff to coordinate high-quality patient care
- Maintain strict infection control, safety, and compliance with regulatory and Methodist Health System standards
- Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and skills training
- Assist in orientation and mentoring of new technicians and support staff
- Monitor supply levels, prepare procedure rooms, and ensure equipment readiness
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance workflows and patient outcomes
