Encompass Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Team Leader to guide a multidisciplinary rehab team in delivering exceptional inpatient care. In this role, you will coordinate and supervise PT staff, manage caseloads, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based treatment plans for patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries. You will mentor therapists, support professional development, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to drive optimal outcomes, safety, and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise physical therapy staff in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and an interdisciplinary rehab team
- Manage caseloads, scheduling, and workflow for therapy services
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and support for therapist development
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standards
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home programs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice protocols
