Job Description
Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast-paced Emergency Department. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations, perform rapid assessments, administer medications, coordinate treatments, and respond to emergencies. Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessment and triage of ED patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per protocol
- Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on care plans
- Provide patient and family education on treatments and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Operate and troubleshoot ED equipment (monitors, IV pumps, etc.)
- Participate in code situations and trauma activations
- Contribute to continuous improvement and professional development activities
