OT Team Leader

Encompass Health seeks an OT Team Leader to provide direct patient care and oversee daily operations for the occupational therapy team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This role combines hands-on therapy with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care, managing caseloads, and supporting quality and regulatory standards. The OT Team Leader will help drive patient-centered outcomes while fostering a collaborative, growth-focused culture aligned with Encompass Health's mission of clinical excellence and compassionate rehabilitation care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Lead, mentor, and support OT staff, assistants, and students in daily practice.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, nurses, and therapy disciplines.
• Manage OT caseloads, schedules, and workflow to ensure timely, high-quality care.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and monitor functional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, safety, and discharge planning.
• Promote a collaborative, patient-centered culture aligned with Encompass Health values.
