Part-Time Flexible Schedule Work from Anywhere Rural Texas

The Rural Health Hub (RHH) is seeking a Tele-Neurologist to provide high-quality neurological care to patients in rural and medically underserved Texas communities.

This flexible, part-time role allows the neurologist to work remotely while trained clinical staff are physically present with the patient. The neurologist will evaluate and manage a broad range of neurological conditions, provide longitudinal specialty care, and collaborate with local primary care providers, therapists, hospitals, and other specialists.

RHH uses a hybrid-telehealth model that combines remote specialty expertise with in-person clinical support.

Local medical assistants, nurses, or advanced practice providers assist with:

• History, medications, vital signs, and screening

• Neurological and physical examination components

• Connected examination technology

• Coordination of labs, imaging, EEG, EMG, therapy, referrals, and follow-up

• Communication with the patient s local care team

This model allows neurologists to provide meaningful ongoing care while using local and regional resources for testing, procedures, and higher levels of care when needed.

• Conduct initial and follow-up neurology visits by telehealth

• Evaluate and manage common neurological disorders

• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans

• Review imaging, laboratory results, medications, and prior records

• Order appropriate diagnostic testing and referrals

• Provide longitudinal medication and disease management

• Identify patients requiring urgent or in-person evaluation

• Coordinate care with local clinicians and specialists

• Complete timely documentation and clinical follow-up

Patients may include those with:

• Headache and migraine

• Epilepsy and seizure disorders

• Neuropathy and radiculopathy

• Tremor and movement disorders

• Parkinson s disease

• Cognitive impairment and dementia

• Multiple sclerosis

• Dizziness and balance disorders

• Stroke and post-stroke follow-up

• Neuromuscular conditions

• Concussion and traumatic brain injury

• MD or DO degree

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology

• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one

• Strong neurological diagnostic and management skills

• Ability to practice effectively through telehealth

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Commitment to rural and underserved populations

Experience in telemedicine, rural healthcare, or a neurological subspecialty is welcomed but not required.
