Job Description
Prisma Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support clinical operations and nursing teams within our patient centered, mission driven health system. In this role, you will coordinate daily unit workflow, support staffing and scheduling, and promote evidence based, high quality care. The Assistant Nurse Manager mentors and evaluates staff, supports onboarding and education, assists with performance improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection prevention standards. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the patient and family experience while modeling Prisma Health's values of compassion, diversity, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily unit operations, staffing, and patient flow
- Support and supervise nursing staff, including coaching and mentorship
- Assist with staff scheduling, resource allocation, and assignment of duties
- Promote evidence-based practice and high standards of clinical care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection-prevention standards
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
- Support onboarding, training, and competency development of staff
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns promptly
- Model Prisma Health's mission, values, and culture in all interactions
