Job Description
Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Assistant to support high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. In this role, you will provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an occupational therapist, focusing on improving patients' functional independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include assisting with evaluations, implementing care plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy interventions under supervision of an occupational therapist
- Assist with patient evaluations, treatment planning, and goal tracking
- Instruct patients in therapeutic activities to improve daily living and functional skills
- Document patient progress and update electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safety techniques
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment
- Support quality, patient-centered care aligned with Carle Health standards
