Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Hospitalist ICU Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. In this role, you will provide inpatient hospitalist and critical care coverage, including admissions, daily rounding, cross-coverage, and ICU management. Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary care, performing or supervising common inpatient procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR. You'll collaborate closely with hospital staff to maintain high-quality, evidence-based care and support safe transitions of care. Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient hospitalist and ICU care, including admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based guidelines
  • Perform or supervise common inpatient and selected ICU procedures as credentialed
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and labs to guide treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and comply with hospital policies
  • Participate in handoffs and transitions of care to support patient safety
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, consultants, patients, and families
  • Adhere to quality, safety, and regulatory standards for inpatient and critical care
  • Work locum tenens shifts as scheduled, maintaining reliability and professionalism
