Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks Primary Care Locum Tenens physicians to provide outpatient care in Coxsackie, NY. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive primary care, including chronic disease management, preventive services, and acute visits for diverse adult and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting labs/diagnostics, developing treatment plans, e-prescribing, and coordinating care with specialists. Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care to adult and geriatric patients
- Perform histories, physical exams, and chronic disease management
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Develop and adjust evidence-based treatment and care plans
- Prescribe medications and manage refills using e-prescribing
- Deliver preventive care, screenings, and wellness counseling
- Document encounters in the electronic health record accurately and timely
- Coordinate care and referrals with specialists and community resources
- Collaborate with nurses, support staff, and clinic leadership to optimize patient flow
- Adhere to all clinical, legal, and ethical standards and quality metrics
