Position Highlights
POSITION SUMMARY: The OB Coordinator pans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in the nursing department. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Works as charge nurse and staff nurse when needed. Responsible for the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing Services.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered nursing degree from nursing school.
BSN Preferred-If no BSN on hire, will be required to show proof of continued enrollment within one year of hire date with completion of program within three years.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.
BLS (CPR) required or obtained within 3 months of hire
ACLS, PALS, and NRP certified.
