This Manager, System Interfaces is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating all activities related to integration across various clinical, ERP, financial, administrative, research, and revenue cycle system applications. This role is primarily focused on one of two areas: (1) the interfaces related to registration, scheduling, eligibility, operations, financial and public health reporting and is also responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of file transfer, Epic Bridges and CorePoint interface engines Or (2) the interfaces related to integrating Ancillary systems that include lab, pharmacy, radiology and cardiology and other ancillary systems and is also responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of Ensemble and Summit interface engines and Epic data courier. This role relies on strong collaboration between internal teams including Ancillary and System interfaces team, EHR application teams, ERP Application team as well as external vendors and partners. Information Technology (IT) has undertaken a multi-year effort to harmonize IT systems across Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). IT staff members may have the opportunity to participate in special projects that span Beth Israel Lahey Health as part of this harmonization effort. This position may be assigned to work on special projects, and other job duties, as needed.Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Leverages a commanding knowledge of the business objectives to ensure interfaces are designed to meet the business needs.
2. Leads design discussions and develops interfaces that enrich the application feature set while maintaining robustness, security, scalability, and fault-tolerance.
3. Provides insight and guidance, and resolves cross-functional issues that are escalated throughout the development, testing, implementation, and support lifecycle.
4. Works on task prioritization and resource planning and allocation within the team's scope.
5. Communicates the status of projects between teams, the organization, and stakeholders.
6. Builds and maintains operational excellence measured by critical metrics, by controlling and reviewing changes going to production, finding efficiencies, process improvement, and ensuring sufficient telemetry, monitoring, and alerting for potential issues.
7. Maintains documentation and procedures for deploying, managing and maintaining interfaces and interface engines.
8. Manages application support and monitors status and progress of support tasks and projects.
9. Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions, including after-hours escalations of major incidents. Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, solution production support incidents, and apply permanent improvements.
10. Promotes cross training across team, for career development and to ensure adequate secondary coverage on all applications. Sets specific goals with each team member and position them for success.
11. Has the authority to direct and support employees daily work activities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews. Direct Reports: More than 7 Indirect Reports: None
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
Experience: 5-8 years of related work experience required, and 1-3 years supervisory/management experience required
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• Experience with integration standards such as HL7, X12,FHIR, SOAP, REST Services
• Hands-on experience with InterSystems, Ensemble, or Epic Bridges
• Experience in a healthcare setting
• Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
Pay Range:
$140,005.00 USD - $188,428.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
Anna Jaques Hospital is a 123 bed community hospital serving 17 cities and towns in the Merrimack Valley .
