Speech Therapist

Adventist Health seeks a part-time Speech Therapist for day shifts to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a faith-driven environment. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse ages and clinical settings. Responsibilities include completing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering one-on-one therapy that supports whole-person healing-mind, body, and spirit. You will document care in the electronic health record, collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and rehab professionals, and educate patients and families on strategies that enhance safety, communication, and quality of life. Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with whole-person care principles.
• Provide direct speech, language, and swallowing therapy to pediatric and/or adult patients during day shifts.
• Document evaluations, goals, progress notes, and discharge plans in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab therapists, and case managers to coordinate patient-centered care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, strategies, and safety related to communication and swallowing.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and care planning meetings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state licensure, professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quality improvement, outcome tracking, and best-practice initiatives within the rehab or speech department.
