Adventist Health is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver evidence-based respiratory therapy in a mission-driven, faith-based hospital setting. You will assess and treat patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, perform arterial blood gas analysis, and administer oxygen and aerosol therapies. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you'll provide patient and family education, ensure accurate EMR documentation, uphold infection control and safety standards, and support Adventist Health's whole-person care mission-mind, body, and spirit. Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care therapies for acute and chronic patients.
- Initiate, manage, and wean invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and bronchial hygiene therapies.
- Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
- Document care, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment, and self-care.
- Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control, and follow safety protocols.
- Participate in rapid response and code blue teams as assigned.
