Speech Pathologist

Job Description

Adventist Health is seeking a part-time Home Health Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. In this mission-driven, faith-based role, you will develop individualized care plans, deliver evidence-based therapy, and educate patients and caregivers to support safety and independence at home. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, document in accordance with regulatory standards, and contribute to whole-person care-mind, body, and spirit-while growing professionally in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide home-based speech, language, and swallowing assessments and treatments for diverse patient populations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, communication strategies, and safety techniques
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and Adventist Health standards
  • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other care providers
  • Adhere to faith-based, mission-driven standards of compassionate, whole-person care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
