Community Rehabilitation Hospital West in Indianapolis seeks a Charge Nurse to lead nursing care on our inpatient rehabilitation units. In this role, you will coordinate shift operations, oversee patient assessments, care planning, and medication administration, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care delivery on the inpatient rehab unit during assigned shifts.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, care planning, medication administration, and treatment implementation.
- Serve as clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting best practices and adherence to policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehab team to support individualized care goals and discharge plans.
- Monitor patient safety, quality metrics, and infection control practices; escalate concerns promptly.
- Coordinate staffing, assignments, and workflow to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and updates on care and progress.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, staff education, and orientation of new team members.
