Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and care planning
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge care
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain regulatory compliance
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Precept and support new nurses and assistive personnel as needed
