Adventist Health seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide compassionate, faith-informed counseling for diverse patients. In this role, you will complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team. You will monitor progress, document in the EHR, provide crisis intervention, and support whole-person wellness-mind, body, and spirit. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
- Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family counseling
- Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHREducate patients and families on coping skills and community resources
- Support faith-based, whole-person care aligned with Adventist Health mission
- Participate in case conferences, quality improvement, and team meetings
- Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in behavioral health
