Job Description
Paris Regional Health seeks a Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership on our acute-care units. In this role, you will coordinate patient care, oversee unit workflow, and support a team of nurses and support staff in delivering safe, high-quality care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication oversight, and rapid response to changes in condition. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, promote a patient-centered culture, support staff development, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within our community-focused hospital.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing care on assigned unit each shift
- Supervise, mentor, and support bedside nursing staff and support roles
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and update care plans
- Oversee safe medication administration and clinical procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care decisions
- Monitor unit workflow, staffing, and patient throughput
- Respond to emergencies and guide clinical response on the unit
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety, and infection control standards
- Support patient and family education and service recovery as needed
- Contribute to quality improvement and staff education initiatives
