Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse for our Oncology Infusion team. In this role, you'll deliver chemotherapy and biologic infusions, manage central lines, perform assessments, and coordinate complex care for oncology patients. You'll educate patients and families, monitor for adverse reactions, and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interprofessional teams. Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy, biologics, and supportive infusions per protocols
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor for adverse reactions or complications
  • Manage central venous access devices and maintain infusion equipment
  • Educate patients and families on treatments, side effects, and symptom management
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
  • Document care in the EHR following regulatory and institutional standards
  • Implement evidence-based oncology nursing practices and safety guidelines
  • Support quality improvement and clinical research initiatives within the infusion center
  • Precept or mentor nurses and students as needed
  • Participate in continuous learning, competencies, and oncology-specific education
