Aquadale Veterinary Clinic seeks an Associate Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for cats and dogs in a close-knit, community-focused setting. You will perform exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, develop treatment plans, manage routine and complex surgeries, and oversee preventive care, including vaccinations and wellness screening. The role includes client communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating with a small, supportive team that values compassion, reliability, and long-term relationships with pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams and assess health of cats and dogs
- Diagnose illnesses and injuries and develop treatment plans
- Provide preventive care, including vaccinations and wellness visits
- Perform routine and some advanced soft-tissue surgeries
- Prescribe medications and interpret diagnostic tests
- Educate and communicate with pet owners on care and treatment options
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and documentation
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
- Uphold clinic standards for compassionate, personalized care
- Participate in occasional community and client education activities
