Job Description
Encompass Health seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will coordinate and supervise nursing staff, ensure safe, patient-centered rehab care, and support clinical best practices. You will oversee patient assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal recovery outcomes. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing staff on assigned unit
- Provide and oversee specialized nursing care for inpatient rehab patients
- Conduct and review patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulations
- Support and mentor nursing staff through coaching and performance feedback
- Participate in staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for the unit
- Lead or support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
