Work location: Texas Health Medical Support 1100 Bridgewood Street TX 76112

Work hours: Full time (40hours) Day shift

This position will be responsible for the following: receiving and processing home infusion referrals, supervising technicians in both the IV clean room and in the general pharmacy, coordinating and planning delivery of medications to THR facilities and to individual patient homes and ensuring compliance to regulatory compliance and standards.

Qualifications

Education

·        Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required Or

·        Other Pharm.D. Required And

·        Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

Experience

·        None required and

  • 3 Years hospital experience or residency Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

·        PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire Required

What You Will Do

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
  • Other duties as assigned.
