Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with neurological and complex medical conditions. Responsibilities include comprehensive neuro assessments, medication administration, post-op and acute care management, wound and line care, and patient/family education. You'll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create safe, personalized care plans. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive neuro and medical-surgical assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders
- Provide post-operative and acute care management for neuro and complex med-surg patients
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in the EMREducate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Monitor vital signs, pain, neurological status, and respond to changes promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards
- Support unit quality initiatives and participate in continued clinical education
