Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy to support functional communication and safe swallowing
- Document assessments, goals, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, and case managers on care plans
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical education initiatives
