Nurse Supervisor

Job Description

OhioHealth is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, and support clinical staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. You will coordinate staffing, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and promote evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations on assigned unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including mentoring and coaching
  • Coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed utilization and patient experience
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and Ohio
  • Health policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient outcomes, quality indicators, and safety metrics; initiate improvement actions as needed
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff

  • Lead and support staff education, competency development, and continuous learning initiatives
