North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital in Tallahassee, FL seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evidence-based inpatient rehab for adults recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, and other complex conditions. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, daily therapeutic interventions, patient and family education, and timely documentation. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and an interdisciplinary rehab team in a patient-centered, mission-driven environment that supports clinical growth, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement through ongoing education and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize function and mobility
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary rehab team on care plans
- Educate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and discharge planning
- Document assessments, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Participate in care conferences and contribute to goal setting and outcome tracking
- Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to infection control and hospital policies
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives
- Supervise and delegate to PTAs and support staff as appropriate
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
