Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based nursing care to critically ill post-surgical patients in the SICUContinuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, interventions, and responses
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform complex procedures per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with safety and infection-control standards
- Precept and support new staff, contributing to a culture of collaboration and learning
