District Support Pharmacist

CVS Health seeks a District Support Pharmacist to provide clinical, operational, and leadership support across multiple retail pharmacy locations. In this role, you'll verify prescriptions, counsel patients, administer immunizations, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You will help optimize workflows, support pharmacists-in-charge, and train pharmacy teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This position requires flexibility to travel between stores within the district and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational pharmacy support across multiple CVS retail locations
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Counsel patients on medications, side effects, and therapy adherence
• Administer immunizations and support clinical service programs
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and company policies
• Support pharmacy managers with staffing, workflow, and performance standards
• Train, mentor, and guide pharmacy technicians and pharmacists
• Oversee inventory, including controlled substances and ordering practices
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal partners to optimize patient care
• Travel within the assigned district to meet coverage and support needs
