Charge Nurse

National Park Medical Center seeks a dedicated Charge Nurse to lead clinical operations within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will coordinate patient care, supervise nursing staff, support accurate documentation, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee nursing care delivery on the assigned unit during each shift
• Serve as primary clinical resource and point of escalation for staff nurses and support staff
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies
• Assign and adjust staff workloads based on patient acuity, census, and staff competencies
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Support, coach, and mentor nursing staff and participate in onboarding of new employees
• Monitor adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards on the unit
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and families, addressing concerns and promoting patient-centered care
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations, providing clinical leadership at the bedside
• Assist with performance improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance activities for the department
• Contribute to discharge planning and care transitions, coordinating with internal and community resources
