Work hours: PRN (As Needed) – Day Shift; Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm with call requirements; 1 call weekend per 6 weeks, 1 holiday per year

· Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
· Relevant experience or training program Preferred
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days Required
What You Will Do
· Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
· Provides support to anesthesia staff with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.
· Protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment and understanding equipment function.
· Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services. Maintains cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and workroom.
· Daily computer support. Troubleshoots equipment. Able to support Anesthesiologist in Optime.

We are a 47-bed facility including a 20-bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27-bed cardiac telemetry unit. Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is accredited for Chest Pain through The Joint Commission. We have achieved AHA’s Gold Plus award for three years in a row plus AHA’s Gold Plus award for Heart Failure. We specialize in CABG and Valve surgeries, thoracotomies, general cardiac including heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, TAVR, Impella, and heart catheterizations including angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies.
