Position Description: Board-Certified/Board-Eligible OBGYN physician to provide locum coverage for inpatient and outpatient women's health services. The physician will manage deliveries, surgical cases, and general gynecologic care while supporting the hospital's labor and delivery unit and clinic operations
Special certifications needed: DEA, BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, ALSO, Ultrasound OB/GYN focus, robotic surgery
Special procedures: Ability to cover labor and delivery call and perform general gynecologic care, routine and high-risk prenatal management. Vaginal deliveries, Cesarean section (primary and repeat), management of obstetric emergencies - shoulder dystocia, post-partum hemorrhage, hypertensive disorders, cord prolapse, external cephalic version, VBAC management, Postpartum care and complications, pap smears, contraceptive management, D&C, basic gynocologic surgeries, hysterectomy, treatment of ectopic pregnancy, emergency GYN surgery and elective robotic cases
Daily patient volume: Hospital has had an average of 40 births per month, and clinic will be 6 - 18 patients
