Registered Respiratory Therapist

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care across partner facilities nationwide. In this field-based role, you'll assess patients, manage ventilators, deliver oxygen and aerosol therapies, and obtain ABGs to support accurate clinical decisions. You will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied professionals to build and adjust care plans that promote optimal outcomes and safe discharges. RRTs educate patients and families on equipment and self-care, maintaining rigorous documentation, safety, and infection control standards while working within a mission-driven, supportive culture focused on growth and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care assessments, treatments, and monitoring to diverse patient populations across acute and sub-acute settings
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas sampling per provider orders and protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to develop and adjust respiratory care plans that support optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, medications, and self-care techniques to promote safe discharge and home management
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to regulatory, hospital, and safety standards for all respiratory procedures
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment and ensure proper infection control practices
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, respond to respiratory emergencies, and assist with rapid response and code situations
