Locum Wound Care Physician Peoria, IL
Outpatient Wound Care Internal Medicine or Surgery
New locum opening for an Outpatient Wound Care Physician with Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.
Start: ASAP pending credentialing (approximately days)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient Wound Care
Location: Peoria, IL
Position Details
- Full-time outpatient wound care coverage
- Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience required
- Rate TBD/Negotiable we submit at your rate
- Daily rate for scheduled 8:00 AM 4:30 PM shift
- OT/callback hourly rate for patient care performed after the scheduled shift
- After-hours charting time is not separately billable and should be included in the base rate
- Occurrence-based malpractice coverage provided
- Transportation and housing provided/paid for by client
Physician Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Surgery
- Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience required
- Active Illinois medical license required
- Active Illinois DEA/CSR required
- ACLS (AHA) required
- Availability for requested schedule required
Credentialing
- Credentialing timeframe approximately days
- Clean and easy-to-credential candidates highly preferred
- Candidates with significant malpractice history or high malpractice payouts may be difficult to privilege
- Candidates with actively pending malpractice cases should be reviewed prior to presentation
- Two completed professional references are required at the time of presentation
- References should be from professional colleagues and/or medical directors from recent workplaces who can attest to current clinical skills, experience and professional conduct
- Candidate must complete the required Health Attestation Form
- Health Attestation must be submitted at least one week before the first scheduled day of work
- Required physical must have been completed within 90 days of the start date
- Failure to complete the Health Attestation requirements on time may result in cancellation or postponement of the start date
Submission Requirements
The following are required for presentation:
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Surgery
- Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience
- Active Illinois medical license
- Active Illinois DEA/CSR
- ACLS (AHA)
- Availability for requested coverage
- Two completed professional references
- Complete CV and required presentation documentation
- Candidate must complete the required name-clear process prior to presentation
- Presentations are not considered complete until all required documents have been received
Travel
Transportation and housing provided/paid for by client according to approved travel parameters.
- Candidates within driving distance: round-trip mileage and lodging are approved travel parameters, regardless of the means of transportation ultimately chosen
- Candidates outside reasonable driving distance who require airfare should indicate flight requirements at presentation
