Certified Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Hopedale Medical Complex seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide PRN coverage across our rural healthcare campus and community partners. In this flexible, as-needed role, you will evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries, support injury prevention programs, apply taping and bracing, and guide safe return-to-play decisions. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and coaches, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation. This position fits an AT who values personalized, community-based care and enjoys working with athletes, active patients, and older adults in a close-knit environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment for athletes and active patients.
  • Deliver taping, bracing, and therapeutic modalities to support recovery.
  • Develop and monitor individualized rehabilitation and return-to-play plans.
  • Respond to acute injuries and emergencies in on-site or event settings.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and coaches on care plans.
  • Document assessments, treatments, and progress in accordance with policy.
  • Educate patients, families, and teams on injury prevention and safe activity.
  • Provide PRN coverage across hospital, clinic, outreach, and wellness settings.
  • Support a compassionate, community-focused care environment.
  • Maintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
