Job Description
Sierra Medical Center in El Paso seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Postpartum unit, part-time on nights. You will provide evidence-based care to mothers and newborns, including assessments, medication administration, lactation support, and patient education. Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns on night shift
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs and recovery progress
- Educate and support patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to implement and update care plans
- Document care accurately in the EMR and follow hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
- Support a patient-first culture focused on safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
