Job Description
HealthSource of Ohio is seeking a PRN Dental Hygienist to join our community-focused team. In this role, you will provide high-quality preventive dental care, including cleanings, periodontal assessments, radiographs, sealants, and fluoride treatments. You will educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, and home care, while documenting accurately in electronic dental records. Working in a collaborative, integrated care environment, you'll support dentists and partner with medical and behavioral health teams to improve access to affordable, comprehensive care for individuals and families in southern Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal charting, and preventive treatments
- Obtain, process, and interpret dental radiographs
- Support dentists during exams and coordinate patient care plans
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic dental records
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with integrated medical and behavioral health teams
- Assist with community outreach and patient recall efforts as needed
