Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

Marimn Health seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient rehabilitation and mobility in a community-focused, tribally operated health setting. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will carry out individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities. You'll document progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist with patient assessments by gathering data and observing functional status and response to treatment.
  • Instruct patients and families in exercises, mobility techniques, and use of assistive devices to support home programs.
  • Document treatments, progress notes, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Maintain equipment, treatment areas, and infection control standards for safe patient care.
  • Collaborate with PTs, medical providers, and wellness staff to support holistic, culturally grounded care plans.
  • Support community and wellness programs that promote physical function, prevention, and rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, body mechanics, and self-management strategies aligned with care goals.
